My name is Bevan Sampson, and I am a proud Wiradyuri man, born and raised in Bathurst. At 24, I have built a strong connection with my culture and community. Growing up in Bathurst shaped me for who I am today, and I have deep love and respect for this community.
Working as a Support Coordinator has given me strong experience in navigating the NDIS, understanding individual plans, advocating for participant needs, and linking people with the right services. These are my strongest assets as I transition into my new role as a Direct Support Worker. Now I can be more hands-on and work side by side with participants in their everyday lives!
I’m passionate about helping others feel connected, confident, and supported. I pride myself on being approachable, easy to talk to, and someone who builds genuine, respectful relationships based on trust. I do believe strong community ties play a big role in wellbeing. I genuinely thrive on being around people and being an active part of the Bathurst community.
Whether it’s supporting someone to work toward their goals, build independence, get involved in the community, or simply being someone, they can rely on, I always give 100% and bring a positive, can-do attitude.
This is home — not just where I live, but where my family, culture, and support networks are. Being able to give back to the same community that helped shape me is something I’m truly proud of. Together with the Birrang Team, I am ready to make real difference, advocate for others, and support people to live life their way!
